Where it all began
Born from a love and passion for all things beautiful, WendyJeans is a business that shares it’s love for creative art in the form of all that’s hand-crafted . Each piece or item is a “one of a kind,” that has been thoughtfully designed and patiently crafted with intention, love and care. How you decorate your body or space is about expression of self and acts as a means of articulating who you are to the world around you. We design and produce for many individuals in mind catering for trend followers, bold statement makers, minimalists and artists. Each piece emphasising your personal story or message to the world.

Wendy's story
Born in a little town in South Africa called Klerksdorp as a middle sibling to an amazing older sister, a loving younger brother and glorious parents.
I had a wonderful childhood with fond memories of our ‘’Chopper’’ bikes and amazing holidays visiting our Granny E in Durban with Auntie El and my darling mom Flora going on our summer holidays in the little ‘Yellow Volksie’ built our characters and made our family the best I could have ever asked for. Holiday time was filled with endless hours on Addington beach with our boogie boards, bucket & spades and loads of ice cream, oh yes, and sweets from the corner shop.
My early working years took me abroad to the ‘’school of Life’’ which was filled with wonderful adventures and heaps of fun. On my return to South Africa, I joined a packaging Company in Gauteng and lived and played in the deep South of Johannesburg.

We had a wonderful childhood with fond memories of our ‘’Chopper’’ bikes and amazing Holidays. Visiting our Granny E in Durban with Auntie El and my darling mom, going on our summer holidays in the little old ‘Yellow Volksie’ built our characters and made our family the best I could have ever asked for. Holiday time was filled with endless hours on Addington beach with our boogie boards, bucket & spades and loads of ice cream, Oh yes, and sweets from the corner shop.
My early working years took me abroad to the ‘’school of Life’’ which was filled with wonderful adventures and heaps of fun. On my return to South Africa, I joined a packaging Company in Gauteng and I Lived and played in the deep South of Johannesburg, that came with its own challenges but only happy memories, yes, clubbing in Hillbrow and town was our thing.
After 20 wonderful years in Gauteng, my husband accepted a work opportunity to move to the Coast, which we jumped at. During the next 7 years we settled on the North coast where I worked for an interior decorating company where I was reminded of my love for beautiful things. With an overload of different colours & textures of fabrics, my yearning to create led me to either knitting, sewing, embroidery just to mention a few. This artistic outlet became my church exploring all the things that fed my soul. I have always been drawn to making my own things and my love for beautiful hand crafted items always made me feel at peace. Constantly I was reminded that my hands were my gift. I still believe in my previous life I was either a ceramist, baker or even a carpenter, always wanting to make stuff! So I knew if I didn’t follow a path of creativity it would be indescribably sad.
I imported moulds, resin and polymer clay and started experimenting in making my own jewellery. The unbelievable love and support from my friends and family led to what they say in the classics ‘the rest is history’ voila WENDY JEANS was born.
